Plywood Door Plywood is a type of engineered wood which is used widely in construction purposes. It is a laminated product that is constructed by combining numerous thin strips of wood. These strips of wood are arranged in alternating directions and bonded with resin and glue to make strong and durable sheets. Owing to its construction technique, plywood is susceptible to shrinkage and expansion.
These sheets are widely used in crafting wall units, doors, room dividers and furniture. Plywood is durable and strong and does not get deformed under temperature changes.
The wood fiber sheets and resin are bonded mechanically to form a composite material. Most plywood is constructed from an odd number of layers, called plies with an equal number of plies sandwiched around each side of the ply placed in the center.
